πŸ‘‚πŸ˜πŸ”Š There is nothing more depressing than having a relationship with someone who is looking to do you harm.

It could be physical harm or emotional harm, but their main goal is to cause you grief and that grief will lead to depression.

Psalm 5 is a song written by King David and it isn’t the happiest of songs.

David is going thru some really tough times and feels like he’s all alone. He knows that his life isn’t always going according to plan and he’s feeling the weight of life on his shoulders…and he feels crushed.

Psalm 5 let’s us see how David dealt with this situation that was causing a deep depression in his life.

First, he verbalized his prayer to God.Β He needed to be heard and knew that the beginning of the day was the time to pray.

Second, he put God in His place: God was not the direct cause of his problems!

He saw the character of God as being impeachable and pointed to the real threat — toxic people.

Lastly, he asked God to do something about his situation.

David knew violence as a soldier, but he also knew mercy and wanted God to get justice, but to include mercy.

Are you feeling like the people around you are causing you grief and it’s leading you into depression?

Take courage, God can see you through this experience.

Read Psalm 5 out loud and put yourself in David’s words, let them be your words of prayer to God.
